What bachelors degree do most foreign teachers have in Japan?

I am in the process of getting government assistance that will cover a bachelors degree but I have to justify it will get me a job afterwards.

I am currently looking into a BS In Psychology and then working as a teacher in Japan while maintaining a spouse visa and then eventually a PR.

Am I curious what is the most common degree English teachers in Japan have?

Also if anyone has a BS In Psychology and teach in Japan I would like to ask more questions privately since I am required to interview someone.

Thank you.

  2. For English teachers, it’s all over the place. Because the only requirement is that you have a bachelor’s degree. It doesn’t matter what it’s in. A lot of English teachers teach English because they want to live in Japan, not so much because they’re super interested in education.
