I am an EU citizen working and living in Europe with my japanese wife.
My wife got a very nice job offer in China and I would like to move with her when she goes there.
I am a freelancer who works 100% remotely, but most of my customers do not want me to work on their (sensitive) projects from China.
So I am thinking of moving to Japan instead to be at least somewhat closer to my wife.
My plan would be to continue working as a freelancer for my current european clients.
Is it even possible to get a spousal visa for Japan if the spouse is a japanese citizen but not actually living in Japan?
As far as I can tell there is no freelance visa for Japan?
Is those two options do not work, are there any other possibilities open to me?
