I’m an American K-12 music teacher. I’m looking to move in with my Japanese girlfriend. She quit her job after almost 20 years, so she’s looking for change and willing to move almost anywhere in the country.
Problem is I don’t have very much experience (1 year), so a lot of international schools won’t even glance at my resume. I’m curious if there are any other teachers here not involved in ESL who made the move to Japan and what path they took. I’m open to ESL but I’m more open to options aligned with my background.
