Hi – I have a quick trip planned to Japan from Feb 15-23. I am traveling with my fiance, and we have both been to Tokyo before (I have also been to Kyoto)
We are considering either:
(1) going north to catch the end of the yokote snow festival, then seeing Ginzan, snow monkies (will it be too late in the season?), or,
(2) going south to homebase from Fukuoka, see Yufuyin/some other stuff, and then making a pit stop in Kyoto (I LOVED Kyoto but I went during sakura season and I worry February wont be as beautiful).
What would you recommend as being the most beautiful area of Japan in mid-February? Any suggestions?
