What kind of Japanese help software do you wish existed? (I may create it)

So I am in my last semester at university as a Computer Science major with a Japanese minor (yay!).

One of the final classes for my major is a capstone project where I make some software of my choosing and my own design. It is free reign to be whatever I want. Some people just do something fun and whatnot, but I want to make software that can be helpful and useful.

I’ve been thinking about this for the past 5 months. About a month ago, as I was studying for one of my quizzes in my advanced grammar class, I was struggling with the sheer amount of complicated kanji I kept pronouncing incorrectly. It then gave me the thought to make a furigana creator that can give multiple pronunciations to any kanji and maybe include the likely context for each so the user can know when to use what.

I have since found that there are quite a few Japanese furigana/ruby “calculators” (if you will), and I’m not sure how useful of a project this would be if so many already exist.

So for all you fellow studiers what kinds of software or helpful tools do you wish were out there that aren’t? OR is there anything you wish could be improved?
