Would love some inputs to this itinerary I put up. It’ll be just be me (31M) and my partner (29F). This is our first time to the Kansai Region but we’ve been to Tokyo a couple times now.

**Day 1- Arrival (Sat)**
* We land around 7PM
* Check-in at hotel in Chuo Ward
* Dinner around the area
**Day 2 – Osaka City Tour (Sun)**
* Shinsekai
* Osaka Castle
* Kaiyukan West Pier
* Umeda
* Dotonbori / Shinsaibashi
**Day 3 – Nara (Mon)**
* Travel to Nara
* Kasuga Taisha Shrine
* Todai-ji Temple Nandaimon
* The Great Buddha Hall
* Kohfuku-ji Temple
* Travel back to Osaka
**Day 4 – Universal Studios (Tue)**
* Theme Park
**Day 5- Kyoto Day 1 (Wed)**
* Travel to Kyoto
* Fushima Inari
* Path of Philosophy and Castles
* Downtown Kyoto (Optional)
* Travel back to Osaka
**Day 6 – Kyoto Day 2 (Thu)**
* Travel to Kyoto
* Arashiyama
* Downtown Kyoto (Gion)
**Day 7 – Shirakawa-Go (Fri)**
* Booked via Klook 2 Day tour. Pick up from Osaka
* Stay at Takayama
* Onsens
* NOTE: So far I can’t move this date as this is the only one available in Klook for that week
**Day 8 – Takayama Day Tour (Sat)**
* Takayama Day Tour
* Return to Osaka
**Day 9 – Leaving Japan**
* Check-out morning
* Half-Day Trip in Osaka / Whatever we forgot to do
* Flight back
In all these 8 nights, we just stay in Osaka via Airbnb. And yes there will be a night that we won’t be able to stay in our booked room as we’re in Takayama. We can opt to skip Shirakawa-Go so that we can have an extra day back, but we’d like to visit an area with snow as we don’t get that where I’m at.
Right now I’m still figuring out –
1. Do I skip Shirakawa-Go or not. We’d love to experience snow in Japan while we’re there and heard that it’s bestt to visit this place during winter.
2. What pass is best to avail for cost/time efficiency.
3. Would it be better to just stay in Kyoto for Day 5 and 6.
