Life as an engineer in Japan

Hi, i am currently in my last year of a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree. I am currently doing a semester of student exchange here in Sendai and so far I have been really enjoying my time here. Since I am about to graduate in September this year, I want to work in Japan as the pay and quality of life is better here than in my home country. My question is, how is life as a mechanical engineer/similar field of work? The quality of life, work life balance, and the work environment etc. I am really considering moving here in the future as I have fallen in love with the country. For background, I have been studying Japanese for the past 2 years and I have passed the N3 back in 2022 but I’ve failed the N2 last year with a 70 score and i plan to really study to pass the upcoming JLPT N2. Is there anything I should be considering or making plans for to work in Japan as an engineer?
