Electronics in Japan

We are military moving to Japan for the second time. This time, we are hopeful we will be able to live out in town and have our pack out very soon. What issues will i have with our electric devices.

I know that the grid works differently there so I don’t want to blow a motor on my upright vacuum. We have a zojirushi rice cooker but it’s a US model. Will that still work? I know the plugs are essentially the same although there isn’t a polarized plug. I also have a instant pot pressure cooker that has a ground plug. Will I be able to get a converter for that? Is that safe.

I’m not taking my stand mixer this time because even though we were on base, the electrics in Atsugi were very old and it never quite worked right.

Tvs, chargers, stick dyson, printers, hand mixer, hairdryer, etc. Please guide me on what I need to make these usable and more importantly, safe.

We are not opposed to buying items out there if necessary and I think the base actually lends some items for the duration of our time off base but obviously, I don’t want to spend money on things I already have.

Thank you so much.
