I’ve seen these all over the streets of Japan. I’m surprised at the variety of these stickers… I’m guessing there are 5-10 different types of them, with some pointing in 2 directions, 3 directions, 1 side, etc. Also, the durability is amazing for how trafficked the streets of Japan are.
Can someone clarify how these are used and what purpose they serve?

Your link isn’t working, but if you’re referring to something that looks like https://www.yotsugi.co.jp/products/_images/001422.jpg, then it’s an underground gas pipe. The arrows are the directions in which the gas is flowing.

I’ve mainly noticed Green ones (in Kyoto) and it’s for Gas pipelines under the pavement.

Gas pipe as some other redditors may have answered. In some of the photos you can see polyethylene written in katakana. Referring to plastic pipe.
You’ve already gotten the answer but you could have just googled “地面 g シール”, or even just “g sticker on ground” in English and gotten it way quicker.
