Any clue which type of tuna is the red sashimi slices? Ate it at a restaurant and it didn’t taste like a typical red tuna sashimi from anywhere else.


It had no fishy taste and was extremely tender. Other times I had red tuna sashimi the meat was much much tougher and more chewy. I know it’s some type of tuna but which one? I don’t think I was served blue fin tuna as that’s very expensive in my area. Doesn’t taste like yellow fin tuna which usually is the much tougher and chewy in my experience.
