Hi there,
I am seeking advice. I’d love to quit teaching because I’ve lost my passion for it, but I have no idea how to make the transition here in Japan, especially since I don’t have a background in IT.
Background: I have an MSc in Epidemiology, I’m competent at SQL and R and have a few years of research experience. I’ve been living in Japan for almost 4 years. I currently work at an international school. I plan to write the N2 exam this year.
I’d love to work in my field again, but I’m not sure where to begin. Has anyone here moved away from teaching? If so, how did your do it? Is the N2 enough to land a proper non-teaching job?
