I’m travelling in about two weeks to Japan. My travel partner and I are spending time in Onomichi, then making a long trek off to Hakone for some relaxing. We’d hoped to plan our itinerary around an easier transfer, but it’s worked out this way anyway.
I’m wondering the easiest route to get to Hakone. It seems the easiest way is going from Fukuyama via a local train then Shinkansen, but I am getting different advice on transferring at Nagoya vs Shin-Yokohama.
Google Maps suggests Fukuyama -> Shin-Yokohama (transfer) -> Odawara -> Bus to Hakone.
SmartEx suggests Fukuyama -> Nagoya (transfer) -> Odawara.
Any advice on the best route?
