Hello! I moved to Japan 2.5 months ago (I have Japanese citizenship) and I brought two bicycles from my home country with me.
I haven’t ridden them much since I am still settling in, but the bigger problem is both my bikes are hand-made models with no serial numbers (niche frame builders) that I bought second-hand off of internet marketplaces in my home country, which means I do not have paperwork to prove the purchases… only the confirmations from the app I bought them through (sort of like Mercari or eBay)
What should I prepare for/what could I do in this situation?
I haven’t gone to the Koban yet as I’ve been trying to find info on this but there doesn’t seem to be much I can find.
Additionally, both bikes have been properly equipped and adapted to be compliant with the laws here, so I don’t think I’ll have troubles in that department.
