Question about salt preserved wakame


hey! i just bought this salt preserved naturo wakame so i can use it in miso soup and i was wondering if there is any difference between normal wakame and salt preserved?
On the back it says that i should rub it under running water 5 times so i can remove the salt, is there anything else that i should keep in mind before adding it to the miso soup?
I never bought wakame so all the help is really aprecciated! Thanks in advance
