Hello All!
We will be (finally) returning to Japan for our second trip this spring. Most of our two week trip is figured out with time in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with day trips on a schedule we feel great about but we are struggling with the last 4 nights. Currently, we have 4 nights after Osaka and prior to returning for a final night in Tokyo pre-flight and are going back and forth on what to do. Right now we have refundable places book for 2 nights in Fukuoka and 2 nights in Nagasaki so we can visit a new region and see two cities that do look very interesting. We love eating so the food scene in Fukuoka interests us but we also love nature and feel like this trip may be lacking in that a bit. Any recommendations on where to go for this portion? Should we stick with what we have? Very open to suggestions, we’ll likely have a region specific JR pass for Kansai and Kyushu but will fly back to Tokyo.
