My wife and I are visiting Japan in September 2024 and would like to do a memorable hike in the Japanese Alps while we are there (given that this will be just after the Mount Fuji climbing season will end).
We came across Akadake and would like to learn more as there wasn’t too much written about it on this sub.
– Has anyone climbed this peak recently?
– Is it feasible to reach without a rental car?
– In September, should we be concerned for weather at all?
– Recommendations for huts if staying overnight?
– What would one do with their luggage in this part of the country (locker/courrier in a larger city?)
