Wallpaper seal – Rental apartment

Hi! Going to move into a new apartment (rental) at the end of February and I was wondering how safe it is to use a wallpaper seal (壁紙シール) to cover some of the old wallpaper

Can it be taken off without causing any damage when I want to move out again?

  1. The wallpaper seals I’ve seen are advertised as removable, but you may want to test it in an inconspicuous location.

  2. Expect it to fuse with the paper underneath after a few heat cycles, and pay through the nose(or don’t get your deposit back) when you leave
