Hi Everyone!
I will be traveling to Japan from January 26th to February 4th with a friend. This will be my friend’s third trip to Japan and my second. We have both visited many of the major attractions on our previous trips, such as Tsukiji, Skytree, Shibuya Crossing, and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
We both love to eat and enjoy trying various foods, so if anyone has any food spot recommendations, that would be greatly appreciated. We are also looking for a mid-range sushi spot budget is about 10,000 yen. We are both relaxed travelers and do not mind missing a few things on this list. If anyone has any suggestions to improve our itinerary, please let us know.
**Day 1 Saturday 01/27**
Land at HND @ 4:30pm
Take Train to hotel in Asakusa
Grab a quick bite nearby hotel
See Sensō-ji (Our hotel is only 5 minute walk away)
Asakusa Night Festival (May roll this over to 2nd day)
**Day 2 Sunday 01/28**
Kappabashi Street (Buy a Knife)
Sunshine Observatory and Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo
Grab some food in Sunshine City
Tokyo Dome Illuminations at 5pm
Should I include Akihabara in this day as it seems like there is a lot of free time.
**Day 3 Monday 01/29**
Onigiri Asakusa Yadoroku
Akihabara
Mega Don Quixote Shibuya
Shibuya Parco (Pokémon Center and Shopping)
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (Maybe if we have time)
Kabukicho
**Day 4 Tuesday 01/30 Hakone**
Head to our Ryokan Check in @ 3pm
Hakone Shrine
Hakone Open Air Museum
**Day 5 Wednesday 01/31 Kyoto/Kobe**
Bullet Train from Hakone to Kyoto
Head to Airbnb and drop off luggage
Travel to Kobe
Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens
Yakiniku Fuji or Yakiniku Tomiya
Kobe Chinatown
Don’t know if this travel day is realistic or not, please provide and feedback. We’ve both been to Kobe before so if needed this can be a free day in Kyoto.
**Day 6 Thursday 02/01 Kyoto**
Higashiyama Jisho-ji
Philosopher’s Path (Might not do if time is limited)
Nishiki Market
Pokémon Center Kyoto
Explore Gion
Kiyomizu-dera Temple
This day seems pretty packed and not sure if all of this is doable. The two main places we both want to do are the Nishiki Market and Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
**Day 7 Friday 02/02 Kyoto**
Kinkaku-Ji
Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple
Free rest of Day maybe go to Nakamura Tokichi
**Day 8 Saturday 02/03 Osaka**
Cup Noodle Museum
Nanba Parks
Abeno Harukas
Teamlab Osaka Botanical Garden

**Day 9 Sunday 02/04 Tokyo**
Travel back to Tokyo
Leave luggage at luggage storage Shinagawa Station
Explore around Shinagawa
Flight at 7:30pm
