I have never struggled so much with this textbook until now. In Chapter 16, the textbook goes over 時 and all of its variations with the phrase before 時 and after 時 changing between past and present tense. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I feel like the explanation just does not make sense and I cannot grasp the concept whatsoever.

Does anyone perhaps know of a better explanation? Perhaps a video or a method you used to master the concept yourself
