not sure if this fits as it’s more rhetorical, but whatevs. as i’m adjusting to my new commute (reassigned again start of this yr), finding the best train car/transfer route/exit for expedience, i’ve noticed the same npc every morning. a little grey haired salaryman in a tan coat shares the same car where i transfer at a big yamanote station, and every morning he jockeys for position to be first off so he can sprint up the stairs. i wonder why he can’t just catch the previous train? it’s only a few minutes difference. or does he just like running up stairs in a suit? spry little joker, anyway. wish i had that much energy first thing in the morning, lol.
Can anyone recommend a solid optometrist between Ueno and Shinbashi (or nearby)? Language ability isn’t a concern, but one that can check for more advanced vision problems like glaucoma or cataracts while checking vision and writing glasses/contacts prescription is what I’m looking for. Just want to avoid quacks and people trained just enough to check for glasses.
Friend gifted an old bicycle since they are leaving the country. It is unregistered, but they have had it 10+ years and don’t have any documents on it. What’s the process for registering it without any proof of purchase?

Did Amazon change the way it handles returns? I used to just take the item to the post office, pay for it, and (depending on the situation) get refunded for postage. I guess now it looks like I have to take it to pre-register, a QR code to Lawsons, and the cashier will affix the address onto it and send it collect. Does that sound about right? I mean it sounds straightforward enough, just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing.

Is there such thing as going from a Business Manager Visa -> PR in one year, simply because during the entire year the person has maintained 80 points on the highly skilled point table?
What I’m really asking is, does the highly skilled points route to PR care about whether if you are employed or self employed? Or must you be sponsored (employed by a company) the whole time PLUS maintain 80 points for an entire year?
