Should we feel surprised ? After the whole Fukushima reactor nuclear water waste harassment from China a few months back, I’m not surprised at all.
It’s many factors built up over time. Many Japanese I know who’ve dealt with Chinese in business don’t see them as trustworthy partners.
Not surprised, they are very hard to work with. All of the Chinese people I worked with loves to play politics and blame people for their own mistakes 🤦♂️
Gee I honestly can not imagine why not…
It’s unfortunately not just the politics. The normal Chinese people they send over aren’t exactly doing much to improve the perception of China, either.
We are always enemy each other in modern day so I don’t surprised
nobody feels friendly towards china, not even china.
Very interesting how little interest most Japanese have in China. One of the major, founding civilizations of the world (a huge influence on their own culture) right on their doorstep, and I don’t think I’ve ever met a Japanese person who’s visited (mainland) China for anything other than business.
edit: what’s with all the downvotes? Am I just unfortunate in being surrounded by Japanese who have far more interest in European countries than China?
I can think of a few other times in history where they may have felt more negative
Gotta have a reason to feel friendly, before you feel friendly.
I mean sure. The Chinese government sucks, and it’s a reflection of the vast majority of Chinese people. They’re the Americans of the East, without the “freedom of choice” thing to fall back on if they do something ghoulish or hope for becoming better people. It’s just straight up ghoulish and vile behavior from top to bottom and it’s state-endorsed.
It should be the case.
Japan *tolerates* each other in a good day, what made them think they would like any foreign country? And China at that?
Meanwhile Japan grovels to the US. Lol. Nothing new.
Bad for japan. Two resource superpowers next door to it (yes except for oil, China is rich in resources) with one being an energy superpower (Russia). Yet instead of being friendly to them and making trade relations, is their enemy. Lol Japan basically a US vassal state. Only the idiots believe China has a reason to attack Japan (japan has nothing to provide lol).
it should be 87% of Asia lol
Well… china is an evil state. Years of brainwashing and propaganda has only made them worse. The ones that have snapped out of it are the ones that travelled and lived abroad for a decent amount of time. I love Chinas culture and its history but loathe it’s government and their fanatics, which sadly is the vast majority of their people. I know I’m generalising but generally speaking a people or state get a name for themselves by generally being a certain way. Generally.
Maybe the title should be that a record number of Japanese people do not feel friendly toward the CCP.
The Chinese are taught to openly hate Japan; but still go over for vacations there every year. Definitely a strained relationship.
Japan was right in world war 2 all along.
Gee, wonder why two of the highest countries that US has debt with feel like that.
