As an adult self-learner – What are the best alternatives for Japanese textbooks other than Genki and MNN?
I think the Genki books are more for young people as they contain mostly college topics, and I don’t like the endless vocabulary lists, with most of the vocabulary not appearing in the texts.
With MNN you always have to open two books at the same time, and the books seem a little outdated and not particularly motivating to me.
Are there no modern alternatives (for beginners) that are also suitable for self-learners? Thank you for some hints or tips!
