I’m brand new to learning Japanese and I wanted to find an app or Learning tool I could find that could slowly walk me through what I need to learn and level me up to new subjects as i get better. From kana > words/kanji > sentences/Grammer.
I started with renshuu which was working decently but I found it ramped up way to quick and now I’m overwhelmed with a bunch of lessons I’m not ready for.
I also tried HeyJapan: Learn Japanese but it really didn’t seem to care how I was doing before moving on, I’d pretty much fail a section with a 54% and it be like alright good enough let’s start the next section which requires knowledge of the last section.
I’ve heard people talk about Anki but it sounds complicated and hard to set up for someone who has no clue where to start from the beginning.
The sidebar of the reddit has some good info I can find but alot of it seems geared towards people who already have some knowledge of Japanese.
I’d just like an app that can go at my own pace that I can use for an hour or 2 when I’m at work and have free time.
