Hello all, I will be going to Fukuoka this weekend just for the day, and am looking for any interesting things to do. Does anyone recommend any experiences, such as museums, specific restaurants, etc? I will be staying between Hakata and Nakasu. I do want to get motsu nabe, so recommendations would be appreciated.

You could go to the [cat island](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ainoshima_(Shing%C5%AB)). That’ll take an entire day.
Just a day? Depends what you like but I’d say just hang around Tenjin. Ohori park is really nice too, and there’s a castle nearby. Also, I don’t remember the name but a few minutes walk from Ohori park is this absolutely banging bakery. It’s so good.
If it’s motsu nabe I recommend 博多もつ鍋前田屋, it was one of the best memories(so delish) I got from there, not too cheap and not too expensive either. You have one near Hakata st., one in Nakasu/right next to Canal City and one in Daimyo!

Where are you coming in from?
Itoshima. Went alone and it was the best time ever. You can climb up the small mountain to see an amazing view of the beach. Nakasu and Hakata is something you can do in the evening or the night.
Mentaiko at this restaurant is super famous and probably the best you’ll find in the city.
