How is general perception/awareness around climate issues in Japan compared to the western world?
The slow uptake of EVs is telling. Its not ”Convenient” enough yet because charging infrastructure is a joke right now. Personally I dont care and im transitioning. Already have an EV, Solar panels, working on a home battery system, and got my first electric scooter bike. Will be getting a larger bike in the next year or two. Probably energica or zero.
Unless the seniors make it a voting issue nothing significant will happen.
If the young were in charge they’d be all for stopping climate change of course.
But traditionally in Japan more than anywhere else they tend to tow the line and not look to rock the boat, follow what their elders say.
Is this changing at all? Are the current batch of kids any more outspoken than those of a decade ago?
