I guess hypothetical enemy country Anihc was getting too old?
And?
This is quite big? Even China did not name drop US/Japan in their exercises.
Duh. Bout time.
US foreign policy is always about naming an “enemy” – to define themselves against. How else to continuously to justify a bloated military budget while letting their half their citizens struggle to access health care, or a proper education, or a decent and humane social safety net. And before people start what about-ing China, this isn’t an endorsement for the brutality or oppressiveness of the CCP. Just an observation that the war machine is big business and that requires significant propaganda marketing to sustain.
