I sometimes find myself searching the internet for a game to play with the students to help them learn or practice a specific topic I am about to cover in the lesson.
This is always time consuming and not the most fun part of the job.
So I decided to create a database of classroom games with an easy tag search, so I could pull up the perfect game in no time.
As with everything I do, I’ve gone WAY too far with this, and made it into a full on web app with all the necessary features for finding out about new games, or even just recalling games I haven’t used in ages.
So I thought I’d share it with you guys, and hopefully you’ll find it as useful as I do.
It’s very simple to use (which was my main goal with this) – you just type in the search bar anything that you want to cover in the lesson, and these “tags” will filter the game list for you to browse and learn the instructions.
I’ve added an option to submit new games, so hopefully with the help of everyone, this will become the perfect database for ESL classroom games for you to refer to when needed.
I’m also working on some more tools to help ESL teachers spend less time sifting through resources and preparing for lessons, and more time investing in more important things.
So stay tuned!
