I was thinking about this today when I looked at a WTL promo Gabe did and I thought man Gabe just has IT. And I know I have said before that Gabe Kidd is a perfect heel new Japan needs to keep and I just don’t believe in “Savage” Finlay.
There was a little tease which I don’t think will ever be paid off (I don’t trust Gedo) but I did wonder if Gabe did take over how would you book it?
For me, I’d do it like this:
* Gabe hits the final blow on Ospreay during the cage match but Finlay pushes Gabe out of the way and takes the win from him. Gabe is a little annoyed by it but doesn’t show it.
* By Dominion time Finlay loses the Global title to Shingo and unintentionally Gabe costs him the title. Finlay is furious at Gabe and they argue.
* Both guys are in the same block and both have a good record but both are eliminated with the final block match of both men against each other. Gabe beats Finlay and once the match is over he and the other war dogs attack Finlay.
