So I’m in a bit of a pickle. I came to Japan in 11/2022 and have just recently decided to move back to the States. Yay for me 🙄 I adopted a kitten after moving here but while looking at making the preparations, learned she wasn’t given a Rabies vaccine… so I got her chipped this week and got the first shot. The second one is 29 days from now, then she’ll get an antibody test and be good to go… except the airline won’t allow her to fly within 30 days of getting a vaccine… so really, she can’t fly until the end of February.
I was planning on cancelling my lease in January, (I’m taking my wife back mid January/she’s Japanese but doesn’t want to live in Japan anymore so that’s why we are moving back)…. I need help knowing what to do about the time that my cat has left before I can retrieve her, do I stay somewhere else with her? Do I find a friend to watch over her so I can come back and retrieve her? Or do I put her up for adoption 😭(which I’ve been told is difficult)
Please help, even if you don’t have a lot of advice to give, anything helps. I’ve been living in Kansai as a reference if anyone needs to know and I have a remote Job for an American company.
