hi everyone! i’m considering applying for a global internship in osaka city, japan. i live in canada and based on the internship description, my role would involve teaching english to students who are at the beginner level as well as some administrative duties. for context, this is a summer 2024 internship (the official start dates are not listed yet but my university said they’d provide that information during the interview and once they receive my application). i haven’t travelled anywhere but the united states so my cultural exposure and experience travelling is quite limited. i am wondering about what people’s experiences are working in osaka city if you are a foreigner or not familiar with japan’s culture. the internship has no cost associated with it, but of course id have to pay travel costs, housing, groceries, etc etc. im just wondering if anyone suggests i do this internship? i wanted to do an internship that challenges me but won’t destroy me mentally lol. if anyone has advice or anything to add, id greatly appreciate it!!!
