hey everyone!! Looking for recommendations for music & art specific vocabulary. In a couple years I’ll finally be able to go to Japan for a while, and I will be attending shows, talking w local musicians, talking to venues etc. and that idea is daunting rn. I also want to learn terms for sounding natural when writing music (I have decks for simple words like ‘quarter note’, I’m talking about spoken musician to musician conversations like “hey can we take this pre chorus from the pick-up and do it a little rocky fill before it?”)
I also need to learn technical words related to production/recording/synthesis. I’ve been trying to translate manuals but its quite advanced stuff for me to read. And stiff wording.
I also want to learn terms used in painting, advanced colour names, and physical art in general.
Right now I’m living in the murky waters somewhere between N3-N4. I have Ankidroid and Kanji Tree for flashcards. Podcasts are finally clicking for me and becoming more comprehensible so I’m using those a lot. I also use Youtube all the time, love a good vlog.
