Seeking Guidance on Receiving Delayed Foreign Salaries in Japan

I am currently residing in Japan and working remotely for a foreign company. I have been using MUFG for my salary payments, but there was a delay for a couple of months, resulting in the non-receipt of my salary for the past four months. Although the issue has been resolved, I still need to receive the salary for those four months.

I am concerned that if my employer transfers all four months’ salary at once, the payment might be flagged and blocked due to suspicion of a large amount. To address this potential issue, I am exploring the possibility of receiving these payments in my Sony Bank account. However, after reviewing the rules, it seems that Sony Bank only allows the receipt of remittances for non-business purposes, and salary is typically considered business-related, right?

I previously discussed this concern with MUFG, and their suggestion was to attempt the payment, and they would contact me if any issues arise. This has left me feeling uncertain and anxious.

Given this situation, I am seeking guidance on the best course of action and if there are alternative banks or methods in Japan where I can receive my pending salaries without encountering similar challenges.

Thank you for your assistance and advice.
