As a software developer only specializing in mobile development, what are the job opportunities like for an outsider looking to settle in Japan at some point in the future. By mobile I mean iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), Flutter, React Native.

Native development is preferred. I’ve seen job sites like JapanDev and TokyoDev, but they rarely post a native mobile developer job. I see tons of web developer jobs (front and back end). I already know that mobile dev is a smaller field but at least in the states you always see many jobs. You see MANY MORE web dev jobs but you get it. There is a reasonable ratio in the states of web dev to mobile devs.

On the Japan job sites I can literally count on one hand the amount of mobile jobs open compared to needing both hands and my feet plus my parent’s hands and feet for web dev.

So what gives? Are mobile developer jobs just not a big thing in Japan?
Edit: Everyone here was a lot more civil this time around. Compared to a few months ago when everyone lashed out at a rookie who basically asked the same question as me. It really seemed like toxic gatekeeping a junior dev who wanted to move to Japan.
I hope he sees this post and gets the answers he was looking for because his post was locked.
