I’m currently planning to go to Japan under the Working Holiday Visa for the duration of about 5 months and work there remotely for a german company, for which I’m already working for.
I’ve read that as a German citizen you don’t have to pay income taxes in Japan, if the stay is not more that 183 days, because of a double taxation agreement between Germany and Japan.
([https://www.bundesfinanzministerium.de/Web/DE/Themen/Steuern/Internationales\_Steuerrecht/Staatenbezogene\_Informationen/Japan/japan.html](https://www.bundesfinanzministerium.de/Web/DE/Themen/Steuern/Internationales_Steuerrecht/Staatenbezogene_Informationen/Japan/japan.html))
Am I right about this or do I still have to take care about taxation in Japan?
Any advice or help much appreciated!
