Hi,
I’m planning to send three or four boxes from Japan to the U.S., and looking at the Japan Post website, the Economy Air option seems like the one I want.
But when I go to the page to start listing the contents and making the address labels, it seems the only choices are surface or regular air.
Is Economy Air (SAL) currently not available, or am I just using it wrong?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Might not be useful, but back in March I could only send by surface, because of COVID apparently.
Due to the lack of flights, I think SAL became unavailable after JPost reinstate EMS service. The price is ridiculous now shipping to US, it was ï¿¥2000 at start with 500g, they raised to ï¿¥2400 during early Covid and now its ï¿¥3500 I think.
I went to the post office to send cloth in a flat envelope. Turned out I could only send either by EMS for about 3900 or seamail for 2100 (I forget exactly). In July I’d sent something out without any trouble. Actually, I have no idea if it got to the person, but as my voting pamphlet made it, I’m hoping.
In the end, I sent it to a friend in the air force, who kindly said they will send it from the base post office.
