Balancing weather and crowds

Starting to seriously plan our 1 month trip to Japan for next spring, and trying to lockdown dates. Going with my ageing mum who has an idyllic idea of seeing snow and cherry blossoms so I was provisionally thinking something like Mar 24 – Apr 21 ’25? Itinerary is Sapporo (4d) > Noboribetsu (2d) > Ferry > Akita (3d) > Tokyo (10d) > Kyoto (5d) > Osaka (2d) > Hiroshima (2d) – though maybe skip Osaka in favour for a more relaxed second half of the trip (+ more time in Hiroshima)

But I believe school hols is around the start, we’d be hitting Tokyo by Apr 3, would the crowds still be very intense? Obviously planning per day to visit touristy spots early – or miss them entirely if too crowded. Do you reckon those dates are fine or should we move the trip forward into march? Also trying to avoid golden week. Thanks for your help in advance 🙂
