Hey all:
A friend and I (we’re retired women) will be in Japan May 2-21, 19 days of travel. We start with 3 days in Osaka, a week in Kyoto and we want to end with 5 days in Tokyo. What we’re looking for is what to do between Kyoto and Tokyo, We’d like to be in a smaller town/city where we could walk places, use trains and public transport to get to, near Mt Fuji for some day trips, and where there are onsen, but thinking Hakone seems a bit much. Any suggestions?
