Remote side work within the same profession?

Hi all,
I’d really appreciate any help.
So I’m a sports coach and living in Japan on a Skilled Labour visa. From April I’ll (hopefully) be going self employed coaching within private schools.
Before I moved to Japan I did Online coaching, teaching gymnastics ( my job) to people around the world by creating training plans for them.
Recently I have rang immigration 3 times to see if I can restart this.
I’ve asked if I need to apply for permission to engage in activities outside my Visa. The only problem is, I keep getting told different things – even though it’s within the same field of work ( still teaching gymnastics, like my current job)
2 people from immigration have said that it’s ok as it’s within the same proffesion, one said I may need to apply for permission.
When I was searching reddit, this subreddit appeared. On this particular thread someone was responding to the OP by saying it’s illegal to work for anyone outside of Japan whilst residing in Japan, and that you need to work within Japan. No one seems to have the same answer, lawyers, immigration etc

Obviously I’ve been told that I could get away with it, and ” who would find out” but I like to do things above board.
So after all this headache, googling, ringing and emailing multiple people I would love if anyone on here has any answers for these questions
1) Am I allowed (legally) to work remotely ( as long as it’s not my main job and below 25 hours)
1b) Can this be for clients outside of Japan
2) Do I need to apply for permission to engage in activities outside of my visa, even though it’s the same type of work ( just remote as opposed to in person)
I appreciate you all.
