Hey everyone!
Me and my boyfriend are travelling to Japan arriving on the 18th of April and leaving on the 6th of May. As you know, this catches the Golden Week. I did realize this before scheduling the tickets, but honestly, we didn’t have any other time of the year to go, so I’m trying to plan as best as I can around it. And that’s why I’m here asking some questions 😀
In another reddit post, I read that maybe Tokyo is a bit less crowded during this week, being that a lot of people leave the city to visit family or travel for a bit.
So I was wondering if maybe during the first we should go to places like Kyoto/Osaka/Nara (maybe some others) first and than go to Tokyo during the second week?
And if there are places you think it would be good to go during that week to get away from the crowds a bit? we like to hike as well and it would be nice to see not so touristy places maybe. There are so many things to see.
Do you guys have any tips or recommendations on how we should organize this trip?
Do you think it’s really bad during that week?
