Going with my girlfriend. First time for both of us. Goal is to not over-pack any individual days and have time to soak everything in so please critique over-filled days where you notice them. I like photography so I’ll probably burn up time taking photos as I walk around.
**Day 0: Arrive**
\- Land at Haneda mid-afternoon
\- Take train to city
\- Check in to hotel in Shinjuku
\- Walk around Shinjuku (kabuchiko, omoide yokocho, etc.)
**Day 1: Shimokitazawa/Jiyugaoka**
\- Walk around Shimokitazawa
\- Head to Jiyugaoka to visit Kosoan Tea House
\- If we have time, go to Joshinji Temple and walk around Jiyugaoka more
\- Head back to Shinjuku for the evening to walk around more
**Day 2: Shibuya**
\- Meiji Shrine/Yoyogi Park
\- Harajuku
\- Shibuya Scramble
\- Shibuya Sky for sunset
\- Nonbei Yokocho & walk around Shibuya for the evening
**Day 3: Asakusa/Akihabara**
\- Senso Ji & Nakamise-Dori (hopefully earlyish before the crowds)
\- Walk around Asakusa
\- Walk around Akihabara
\- If we have time; head to Ueno (Ueno park & Ame Yokocho)
**Day 4: Tsujiki & free time**
\- Tsujiki outer market
\- Free time/cover anything we missed (probably slot something from day 3 in here)
\- If we have time for something new; walk around Ginza or Tokyo Tower
**Day 5: travel day**
\- Check out of hotel
\- Ship luggage if haven’t already done so
\- Use the morning to do 1 last Tokyo activity
\- Head to Haneda early afternoon
\- Early evening flight to Sapporo
\- Get to Sapporo hotel
\- Walk around Susukino if we have energy or time
**Day 6: Sapporo**
\- Fushimi Innari Shrine
\- Hokkaido Jingu Shrine
\- Odori Park/Sapporo Snow festival sculptures
\- Sapporo TV Tower
\- Susukino district
**Day 7: travel day**
\- Free time to cover 1 more Sapporo activity
\- Head to Niseko via rental car in the afternoon
\- Check in to Niseko Hotel
**Days 8-12: Niseko**
\- Ski Niseko every day
\- Takahashi Dairy Farm
\- Find a decent Onsen
**Days 13-14: free time in Hokkaido**
\- Ski Rusutsu (if snow is good)
\- Day trip to Otaru or explore small towns around Hokkaido (if snow is not so good)
**Day 15: travel day**
\- Get back to Sapporo and Fly back to Tokyo
\- 1 last hurrah out in Tokyo
**Day 16: sadness**
\- Get to airport/Fly back to USA
