Hi team.
I’ve read some of the previous post regarding cars but nothing quite relevant. If I missed one then please post a link.
I’ll be heading to Japan for atleast a year in 2024 and one of my tasks while there is to pick up a Nissan Skyline R34 GTR, drive it while there, get any work needed on it done by Japanese garages, then when my time is up, export it to the UK.
The exporting bit I know, there are companies that do it regularly. But owning a car in Japan, I know nothing about.
Insurance? Road Tax? Is it anything like Singapore?! Would I need a residents visa?
Any help useful. Also anyone’s opinions on owning/driving in Japan. I’ll be based in Tokyo but will be spending time in other cities and the country.
