If the 私は is implicit neither of these seem contrastive.. if it is not 私は that is implied, then what is? I was hoping as time went on it wouldve clicked eventually but I’ve been studying for nearly a year now and I still can’t wrap my head around these kinds of sentences.
If I’m being explicit about it being myself performing the action would the sentence not be 「私は今日は一時間半ぐらいおどります」?
Edit: 私は made the title more concise, I know that with no context it is not guaranteed that the implicit topic is oneself and not someone else, the exact implied topic is besides the point.
