I’ll be visiting Japan with my partner next month. He’ll be in Japan for two weeks and I’ll be there for 4 weeks. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been considering using an e-bike / e-scooter rental services in each city. We’re also experienced cyclists in London and want to either:
1) bring our own folding bikes or
2) join a subscription plan for Docomo/Luup/Hello Cycle.
From my research, Luup seems to be the most foreigner friendly option with no requirement for local number and an easy pricing plan for one time / subscription based use. It’ll be great to hear what everyone’s experience has been using these bike sharing services on a pay as you go / short term subscription basis. Thanks!
