Hi everyone, this is my first time in Tokyo / Japan and so this my itinerary. I’ll be getting in to Narita airport at 8pm. That’s kind of late so any advice on getting from the airport to Shinjuku is appreciated (that’s where my hotel is). But here is my itinerary, please advise!
Saturday Night
* arrive
* get to hotel
* bars maybe? most likely pass out
Sunday
* Mostly thinking I’d just explore the immediate area to get my footing
* maybe just check out a bunch of different train stations and get accustomed to subway / train use
* Kawagoe; I hear is a decent way to spend a few hours and this day is wide open for just exploring
* Meiji Jingu
* explore!
Monday
* Do a sort of south/east tokyo thing
* Go to akihabara
* see the crossing
* check out an arcade
* other specialty shops / manga or electronics
* head up to Senso – ji
* Tokyo Sky Tree
* Then cross the river and check out the Sapporro Beer hall
Tuesday
* Chiyoda City
* Ropongi hills for some shopping
* Shibuya Sky
* Check out Naka-meguro
Wednesday
* pretty free day don’t have much planned
* teamlab planets?
Thursday
* day trip to kawaguchiko
* see the “most beautiful lawson” and do w.e else
Friday
* day trip to Kyoto
* Fushimi Iinary Shrine
* Kiyomizu-dera
* w.e else I have time for
Saturday
* flight leaves at 9pm!
* explore any last areas / revisit anywhere I want to go back to
* then head to airport and go home
I don’t have any time specific activities except I guess my Shibuya sky and Tokyo Sky tree tickets. I really am trying to keep my schedule open so I can just explore and immerse myself in the city but if you can think of anything I absolutely must do or see I’d love to hear it. Tell me what you think of my itinerary, I’d love to hear your input, thank you so much!
