Any idiot-proof guides for a small business filing taxes? Japanese is fine.

My wife and I opened an English school last April, and from the start we have been paying a “guy” to do our taxes. 16000 yen a month. I’ve been told by a few people who also use him that it’s worth it and that he will save us money in the long run with tax breaks, but I’m not sure I believe it. It seems like an awful lot of money throughout the year, and it’s not like we’re running an empire yet. We have 30ish kids now, and hopefully 30 more by year’s end — with those little league numbers, how much money could he possibly be saving us??

My wife (Japanese) is completely allergic to paperwork, but I feel like this is something we can (and *should*) learn to do ourselves. The thing is, I’m just brain-dead when it comes to taxes (and nenkin, and insurance). It’s been automatically handled for me most of my life, so I don’t even know what the basic process is. The only reason I’ve ever even been able to manage my 年末調整 is because I’ve always had someone around to literally fill in the blanks with me at my old job. Even then, I wasn’t even sure exactly what I was doing.

Are there any recommended guides out there for this stuff? My Japanese ability is ~~way~~ at least a little better than my tax ability, so I should maybe be alright with native resources. I just need a REALLY dumbed-down guide for it to be useful.
