Long story short : brother-in-law announced my wife that he doesn’t want to have anything to do with his parents and his two sisters anymore and that for all he cares, his parents can end-up living on wellfare. Setting aside the disgrace of such a move when his parents put him (the eldest kid) through med-school, I wanted to know if legally, that’s even possible. Suppose that in \~10 years time, his parents need to be put in a home, shouldn’t he have to pay his share of the bill ?
