Moving and Living in Japan given my current situation

Hello everyone!

I really hope you are doing well :).

I want to share with you my current situation and the path I want to follow to be where I want to be in the future. I would love to have information from experienced people.

\- I am 26 and I currently live in France.

\- I am a young graduate (4 months ago) with a master’s degree in Big Data.

\- I have a successful data analysis internship in an important aeronautical company.

\- I speak French and English fluently. I also started to learn Japanese (It is not very relevant, but I know how to write and recognize Hiragana, Katakana, Dakuten/Han-Dakuten/Combinations, and I am learning kanji).

I recently made the decision to pursue my dream of moving to and living in Japan. I deeply want it and think that with the right information and guidance, I can make it a reality.

However, I have narrowed down my options to two choices:

1- I could “give up” and get a job where I currently live in France, save money, continue learning Japanese until I reach a decent proficiency level, pass the JLPT N1 or N2 exam, apply to multiple jobs in Japan and move there once I am accepted. This process would likely take around 2.5 years.

2- I could apply to a V.I.E (which would truly be awesome), but currently, there aren’t many opportunities for Japan, and when there are, there are hundreds and hundreds of applicants.

I really want to know there are any alternative solutions to move and live there given my current situation. What would be the fastest and most realistic path to achieve this?

I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for any advice you can give me :)!

Much love and take care <3.
