Moved here years ago from the UK where I used to sometimes play gigs at random pubs with my band or by myself. Sometimes I’d get cash or free drinks, but anyway since moving here I’ve barely touched a guitar, which is quite sad actually.
Anyway now I have some more free time after all these years I’m planning to buy a new guitar and start playing again.
It’s mainly for personal enjoyment but as a bonus I’m starting to think about playing live. I’ve heard of random pubs such as Blarney Stone that have acoustic shows but I just wondered if anyone has either played pubs in Osaka or even goes to/knows anyone who does and can share some advice?
I’m very aware of the live house culture and even more aware to the fact I wouldn’t even consider that. I am also unfortunately aware that gigging is different here and I’m not expecting it to be like home!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
(I write music but I’m planning to play covers that people can sing along to)
