I currently have a work visa but it is set to expire soon. I’ll be quitting my job and moving back to America.
However, I also have a Japanese wife who is working through the spouse visa process (for America) and it will take a little more time before she can come to America. I would like to stay in Japan with her during this process.
Would I be allowed to apply for a visa extension in this situation? Could another option be flying to Korea and returning on a tourist visa? Any advice is appreciated.
