I’m moving into a new place with my s/o next month. As for how to pay our rent, utilities, etc, I decided we should just get a joint account, pay into it on pay day, then use that to pay our bills. Only after doing some research did I learn that true joint accounts aren’t a thing in Japan.

Still, I’d like to open up an account in one of our names that we can both use. The most important thing is that we can both easily access the account for checking finances via an app or online service. A debit card that could be used to make joint purchases would be great too, especially if we can both get one.

The account will be used for paying monthly joint bills, paying for groceries, and then saving what’s left over each month to use on whatever we like. Any recommendations for a good pseudo joint account that isn’t Rakumo? (I already have an account with them)
